Japanese scoring: yaku, han and fu, dora, and the payment scale up to yakuman.
Riichi (Japanese) Scoring
How It Works
Riichi uses a two-axis system: Han (multiplier tiers) + Fu (minipoints). Your payment is looked up in a table based on your han + fu combination. At 5+ han, fu stops mattering and you enter fixed tiers (mangan, haneman, etc.).
Yaku (Winning Conditions)
You must have at least 1 yaku to win. This is the most important rule beginners miss.
