Sichuan Bloody Scoring
How It Works
Radically simplified. Only suit tiles (no winds, dragons, or flowers). 108 tiles total. Players must eliminate one suit from their hand. Multiple winners per round (“bloody” rules — game continues after someone wins).
Scoring Elements
| Element | Multiplier | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Basic win | 1x | Completing a valid hand |
| Self-draw | 2x | Win by tsumo (all players pay) |
| Concealed hand | 2x | No open melds |
| Root (根) | 2x per | Each gang (quad) doubles the score |
| Golden hook (金钩钓) | Special | Win with a single tile wait after all others are melded |
| All triplets | 2x | No sequences |
| Clean flush | Varies | Some rule sets bonus for this |
Unique Mechanics
- Suit elimination: Must discard all tiles of one suit before winning
- Bloody end: After someone wins, remaining players continue playing for 2nd and 3rd place
- Responsibility: If you discard a tile someone needs after they’ve declared tenpai in the eliminated suit, you pay penalties
- Ting (听): Declaring ready — similar to riichi but without the bet
